First of all let us congratulate all colleagues of UNITED MALAYALEE ASSOCIATION, popularly known as UMA and well wishers on the occasion of launching the new website.
Over the years, UMA has done many commendable works in the social, cultural, literary, sports and educational fields and carved out a niche itself. Though the association has undertaken many humanitarian works, we feel that there are many more miles to go in these fields. We sincerely hope and pray that the members will further extend these objectives, particularly for social causes.
Malayalees, wherever they are, have a gregarious instinct and form associations , because collective living has a societal magnetism and cultural compactness beyond individual happiness. Indeed, Kerala is a store house of profound community value in arts and literature, in their way of life and in their food and dress habits. Our Association cultivates and promotes these precious assets because they remind every Malayalee who is way from home the joy of the finer features which make Kerala a treasure of rejoicing.
